Maliwalo, this city.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, the\u00a0 Tarlac City police identified the victim as Enrique Macapagal, a resident of Villa Agila, Bgy. Maliwalo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Macapagal was driving his Ford Ranger Wildtrak on Tarlac-Sta. Rosa Road in Zone 5 when two armed men riding a red motorcycle approached his vehicle then opened fire before fleeing northbound.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The shooting occurred in front of a construction supply store, alarming residents and passersby in the area.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responders from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) rushed the victim to the Tarlac Provincial Hospital, where Macapagal was declared dead on arrival.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A dragnet operation under \u201cOplan Kandado\u201d was launched\u00a0 to intercept and arrest the suspects.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BY KEVIN GALANG&nbsp; &nbsp; TARLAC CITY &mdash;&nbsp; Riding-in-tandem armed men shot dead a businessman in Bgy.
