{"id":19628,"date":"2026-04-16T02:15:17","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T18:15:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=19628"},"modified":"2026-04-16T02:17:49","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T18:17:49","slug":"19628","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2026\/04\/16\/19628\/","title":{"rendered":"PCO FILES COMPLAINTS VS 3 FB ACCOUNTS OVER FALSE CLAIMS ON PRESIDENT MARCOS\u2019 HEALTH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>THE Presidential Communications Office (PCO), through its Anti-Fake News Desk (AFND), submitted on Wednesday an endorsement of its narrative to the Department of Justice (DOJ) against three Facebook accounts for allegedly spreading fabricated information regarding the health condition of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr..<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The PCO\u00a0said that the Facebook account \u201cIloy Bugris: The Queen of Revelations\u201d conducted live broadcasts claiming that\u00a0the President was critically ill. The account also allegedly solicited money from viewers through GCash and BPI account details pinned on screen while doing \u201dlive,\u201d and presented a purported medical document which \u00a0PCO said was fabricated.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Another account, \u201cRigondola Ping,\u201d was cited for posting manipulated images depicting the President in a distressed physical condition. The PCO said the images were altered and did not reflect any real event.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A third account, \u201cCrage Anderpal,\u201d allegedly published a graphic claiming an official confirmation\u00a0of a serious health condition of the President.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The PCO said the complaints are part of ongoing efforts to address the spread of disinformation online.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A similar complaint was previously endorsed on April 7, 2026, against the Facebook page \u201cMalasakit News Pilipinas\u201d for allegedly spreading false reports related to an energy emergency. This page was deleted the following day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Also on Monday, the PCO signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the DOJ and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) aimed at strengthening coordination in investigating and prosecuting online disinformation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The PCO said the dissemination of false information may be punishable under Article 154 of the Revised Penal Code and provisions of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, particularly when committed online.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Anti-Fake News Desk said it will continue to monitor and refer for investigation and prosecution online content found to be deliberately spreading false information.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>DOJ spokesperson attorney Raphael Niccolo L. Martinez explained that this is not a formal complaint.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cJust to be clear, hindi po ito formal complaint.
