Gen. Jess Mendez, Bulacan police director Col. Jay Baybayan said the case came to light on April 18, when a concerned citizen reported about a lifeless body at a grassy vacant lot near the Angat River in Bgy. San Pedro, Bustos.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responding officers conducted an on-site investigation and confirmed that the victim was a 16-year-old girl who had been reported missing since April 11.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The victim\u2019s body was discovered partially concealed in a grassy area near the Angat river.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>As the investigation progressed, police uncovered a disturbing development as one of those taken into custody was the victim\u2019s own father, who had earlier reported her disappearance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Baybayin said they conducted interviews and intelligence gathering to establish the circumstances surrounding the crime.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Within 48 hours after the body\u2019s discovery, police launched a series of hot pursuit operations based on witness accounts that led to the capture of the suspects.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mendez reaffirmed the organization\u2019s commitment to justice and public safety.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;<\/strong><strong>This is a clear manifestation of our continuing commitment to deliver fast, honest, and felt service.
