{"id":20036,"date":"2026-05-12T01:34:18","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T17:34:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=20036"},"modified":"2026-05-12T01:35:29","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T17:35:29","slug":"bulacan-cop-sacked-after-viral-video-hurting-live-in-partner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2026\/05\/12\/bulacan-cop-sacked-after-viral-video-hurting-live-in-partner\/","title":{"rendered":"BULACAN COP SACKED AFTER VIRAL VIDEO HURTING LIVE-IN PARTNER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>BY KEVIN GALANG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A POLICE officer assigned at the Malolos City Police Station in Malolos City, Bulacan\u00a0<\/strong><strong>was relieved from his post following a viral video showing him hurting his live-in partner.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The accused cop, who is assigned at the Malolos City Mobile Patrol Unit, is facing criminal and administrative charges.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Jess Mendez by the Bulacan Police Provincial Office showed the incident involved a 26-year-old woman identified only as \u201cAira\u201d and the 30-year-old suspect \u201cJerome,\u201d who was said to be t<\/strong><strong>he police station\u2019s vlogger who has thousands of followers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The beating reportedly occurred at the accused cop\u2019s house in Bgy. Sto. Rosario, Malolos City on March 12, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>However, the incident was reported to authorities only on May 10 after videos of the alleged assault circulated online.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Personnel of the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) immediately conducted verification and investigation after watching the videos of the reported physical assault.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Philippine National Police (PNP) chief <\/strong><strong>Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said they\u00a0 are taking the incident with utmost seriousness.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nartatez said the concerned personnel has already been relieved from post, placed under restrictive custody, and disarmed pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation for violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Violence Against Women and their Children Act.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meanwhile, National Police Commission (Napolcom) Vice Chairman and Executive Officer, Commissioner Rafael Calinisan said they will not allow any form of violence against any woman, or any person.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe will make sure that justice is served.
