{"id":20097,"date":"2026-05-17T00:53:17","date_gmt":"2026-05-16T16:53:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=20097"},"modified":"2026-05-17T00:53:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-16T16:53:17","slug":"7-pnp-cidg-men-dismissed-from-service-over-missing-p13-m-evidence-money","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2026\/05\/17\/7-pnp-cidg-men-dismissed-from-service-over-missing-p13-m-evidence-money\/","title":{"rendered":"7 PNP-CIDG MEN DISMISSED FROM SERVICE OVER MISSING P13-M EVIDENCE MONEY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>THE <\/strong><strong>Philippine National Police (PNP) has dismissed seven police officers from service over the disappearance of P13 million in evidence money seized following a raid on a Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) hub in Bataan in October 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Under a PNP General Order, the leader of the CIDG unit with the rank of lieutenant colonel \u00a0was dismissed effective May 12, 2026 for grave neglect of duty.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In\u00a0a separate special order, the six others composed of a police executive master sergeant, a senior master sergeant\u00a0and four patrolmen\u00a0were dismissed effective May 13 for nine counts of grave misconduct, grave dishonesty and conduct unbecoming of police officers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The dismissal also carried penalties including cancellation of eligibility, forfeiture of retirement benefits and perpetual disqualification from re-employment in government service.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said that the law will be applied to the accused policemen amid their intensified internal cleansing campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The raid was conducted on Oct. 29, 2024 by combined\u00a0CIDG and\u00a0\u00a0Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission \u00a0(PAOCC) agents \u00a0\u00a0on the strength of a search warrant issued by a court amid findings regarding\u00a0\u00a0qualified human trafficking violations by the Chinese-run POGO company-turned \u201cscam farm.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The missing evidence money came to light in September 2025 after CIDG chief Maj. Gen.
