FILM director Paul Soriano resigned as Presidential Adviser for Creative Communications, Malaca\u00f1ang on Thursday night announced.<\/p>\n

Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil said Soriano tendered his resignation because of \u201cpersonal commitments.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cPresidential Adviser Paul Soriano took a well-deserved break to spend time with his family and newborn daughter. He has since submitted his resignation to prioritize his personal commitments,\u201d Garafil told reporters.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Garafil said that there was \u201cno replacement for his role\u201d at the moment<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
She said President Ferdinand \u201cBongbong\u201d R. Marcos Jr. has yet to appoint his new presidential adviser for creative communications.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Soriano was designated by the President as his adviser for creative communications in October last year.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The role of a Presidential Adviser for Creative Communications is to advise the President and assist departments and agencies, including government-owned and -controlled corporations, on matters that will enhance their information dissemination programs and initiatives.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Soriano has been behind Marcos\u2019 campaign advertisements since the latter started as vice governor until the presidency.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He also supported Marcos\u2019 electoral campaign, along with his wife, singer-actress Toni Gonzaga.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Soriano was initially designated to oversee the production of the president\u2019s second State of the Nation Address (SONA) but was later substituted by the in-house Radio Television Malaca\u00f1ang. He had previously directed the president\u2019s first SONA.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Marcos and the First Lady had served as sponsors at Soriano and his wife\u2019s wedding and also acted as godparents.<\/p>\n
