Buhangin in Davao City.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Castillones was about to leave the food establishment in a car when shot several times at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The gunman fled on a motorcycle.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The former mayor\u2019s driver, Junie Castro, who was wounded, was brought to the nearest hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Responding lawmen recovered at the crime scene five empty shells from a cal. .45 pistol.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>An investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A FORMER mayor of Cateel in Davao Oriental on Wednesday was shot dead in Davao City.
