CLARK FREEPORT — Government agencies and the private sector have joined forces to expand skills training and provide job opportunities to Filipinos in response to the directives of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr..<\/p>\n

In this regard, 43 individuals graduated from the recent Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) organized by the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), in collaboration with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and World Link Institute for Technical Studies Inc. (WLITSI).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Part of the free training is Beauty Care Services (nail care) and Hilot Wellness Massage.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
At the end of the TWSP, CDC vice president for Administration and Finance Jose Miguel dela Rosa encouraged the “completers” to use what they learned to improve their lives and help their families.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“Education does not discriminate against age. We all need continuous learning and this good training will help you to earn a living. At CDC, we want to expand your knowledge, not only for your own development but also that of your families,” Dela Rosa said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
From the participants, 25 completed the Hilot Massage Training and obtained National Certification II (NC II) while 18 others have completed the Beauty Care Services – Nail Care training and are preparing for the NC II certification assessment.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
In the ceremony, Daisy Mae Oh, one of those who completed the 27-day Beauty Care Services – Nail Care Training, shared her hopes for the opportunities the training could bring to her work.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“This will help us, especially since we learned a lot. We can also turn it into a business, like offering home improvement services. This will give us extra income,” she said.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Sherwin Banzuela, one of the graduates of the 15-day midwifery massage training, thanked the CDC, TESDA, and Word Link for the program.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“Thank you very much for this training. We also sincerely thank the CDC for continuing to guide us and for the full focus of the training. This TESDA project is also good, especially for those who want to study and have training,” said Banzuela. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It can be recalled that the CDC, TESDA, Department of Labor and Employment and WLITSI signed an agreement last October for training in midwifery and wellness massage, nail care, shielded metal arc welding, industrial sewing machine operation, and housekeeping.<\/p>\n
