{"id":336,"date":"2023-12-06T18:08:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-06T10:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=336"},"modified":"2023-12-08T18:11:40","modified_gmt":"2023-12-08T10:11:40","slug":"tvj-tunay-na-may-ari-ng-eat-bulaga-trademark-ipophl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2023\/12\/06\/tvj-tunay-na-may-ari-ng-eat-bulaga-trademark-ipophl\/","title":{"rendered":"TVJ TUNAY NA MAY-ARI NG \u2018EAT BULAGA\u2019 TRADEMARK \u2013 IPOPHL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>NAGPALABAS ng desisyon ang Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) na pumapabor kina Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto at Joey de Leon (TVJ) bilang tunay na may-ari ng &#8220;Eat Bulaga&#8221; trademark.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Kasabay nito, ibinasura ng IPOPHL ang trademark registration ng Television and Production Exponents Inc. o TAPE Inc. para sa mga pangalang \u201cEat Bulaga\u201d at \u201cEB.\u201d Ang dalawang partido ay kapwa nagsasabing kanila ang trademark na &#8220;Eat Bulaga&#8221; na siyang ginagamit ngayon ng TAPE sa kanilang noontime show sa GMA 7.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Samantala, ang TVJ ay lumipat sa TV5 at nag-co-produce ng sarili nitong noontime show na &#8220;E.A.T&#8221; noong Hulyo.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Noong Agosto, pinayagan ang TAPE na mairenew ang trademark na &#8220;Eat Bulaga!&#8221; at ang logo nito para sa panibagong 10-taon.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Gayunman, naghain ng petisyon sina Tito, Vic at Joey na kanselahin ang nasabing renewal.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Sa ipinalabas na desisyon ng IPOPHL nitong Disyembre 4, sinabi nitong ang TVJ ang nag-establisa ng pangalang &#8220;Eat Bulaga.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Having sufficiently established how Petitioners coined the EAT BULAGA mark, it is Petitioners and not Respondent-Registrant who owns the mark.
