{"id":402,"date":"2023-12-08T19:46:31","date_gmt":"2023-12-08T11:46:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=402"},"modified":"2023-12-08T19:46:31","modified_gmt":"2023-12-08T11:46:31","slug":"5-undocumented-pinays-detained-in-malaysia-arrive-in-ph","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2023\/12\/08\/5-undocumented-pinays-detained-in-malaysia-arrive-in-ph\/","title":{"rendered":"5 UNDOCUMENTED PINAYS DETAINED IN MALAYSIA ARRIVE IN PH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>BUREAU of Immigration (BI) agents at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Friday said five Filipina trafficking victims arrived in Manila on December 4.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>According to the BI, the five were reportedly detained for three months in Malaysia for being undocumented overseas workers.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The victims, whose names are withheld for their protection, were allegedly recruited to be waitresses through a Facebook post.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>According to the victims, they separately departed for Kota Kinabalu via a ferry from Zamboanga, evading immigration inspection.
