Marcos Jr. thanked the Filipino people on Tuesday for their concern and prayers following the hospitalization of his 94-year-old mother, former first lady Imelda R. Marcos.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>According to the President, Mrs. Marcos was brought to the hospital due to slight pneumonia and fever.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cI just spoke with my mother\u2019s doctors. She is suffering from slight pneumonia and is running a fever. She has been put on a course of antibiotics and the doctors are confident that this will relieve her fever,\u201d President Marcos said in a statement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cShe is in good spirits, has no difficulty in breathing and is resting well.
