PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday lauded the contribution of Filipino women to national development as he vowed to advance women\u2019s education, welfare and economic empowerment under the Bagong Pilipinas campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWe salute Filipino women, past and present, this #InternationalWomensDay. In our Bagong Pilipinas, we prioritize women\u2019s education and economic empowerment. We are committed to ending violence against women and promoting their leadership roles in every sector,\u201d President Marcos said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cAs we make space for women and champion their rights, we will see a world that is not only stronger and more progressive but also deeply rooted in equity and compassion for all,\u201d he further stated.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In a separate message for the International Women\u2019s Day, President Marcos acknowledged the invaluable role of women, noting that while highlighting the unyielding resilience of women, they helped shape development, and the need to confront the disparities they face.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cIn an age marked by rapid growth and transformation, it is imperative for the global community to honor the incalculable worth of women\u2019s contributions across all facets of society and sustain the gains that have emerged from their countless struggles and sacrifices,\u201d Marcos said, stressing ending gender-based violence, discrimination, and biases, nations can nurture equity, inclusion, and empowerment.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n By amplifying the voices of women, championing their rights, and reinforcing their fundamental freedom, everyone can elevate entire communities and nations, \u201cpropelling ourselves towards a stronger, more equitable, and more progressive world for all,\u201d Marcos pointed out.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The International Women\u2019s Day, celebrated on March 8, is a global celebration commemorating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cInspire Inclusion\u201d is this year\u2019s campaign theme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" PRESIDENT Ferdinand R.
