PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Saturday joined other world leaders in condemning the attack on a concert hall in Russia that killed more than 100 people.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n As of 7:30 p.m. Saturday, the death toll in the attack rose to 115.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed responsibility in Friday night’s armed attack carried out by camouflage-clad shooters.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cMy deepest condolences to the families affected by this senseless act of terrorism. We stand united in condemning terrorism in all its forms,\u201d President Marcos posted in X (formerly Twitter).<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The President said he is profoundly saddened by the innocent lives lost in the horrific ISIS attack at the concert hall in Moscow.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Reports said the mass shooting at the Crocus City Hall near Moscow also injured nearly 200 people.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Intelligence agencies have detained 11 people, including four “terrorists” who were “directly” involved in the attack, Russia\u2019s Federal Security Service said in a statement posted by the TASS Russian News Agency.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), no Filipino was hurt in the incident.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWe extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wish the injured people speedy recovery,\u201d the DFA said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n While none was affected, it advised the Filipino community in Moscow to undertake the necessary precautions after the attack.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The DFA said at least 10,000 Filipinos live and work in Russia.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" PRESIDENT Ferdinand R.
