TWO pilots died when a Philippine Navy (PN) training helicopter on Thursday crashed near a public market in Cavite City.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The fatalities were identified as Lt. John Kyle Borres , 36, and ENS Izzah Leonah Taccad, 27, both pilots of the Philippine Navy assigned at the Naval Airwing in Sangley Point, Cavite City.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Borres was declared dead on arrival at the Cavite Medical Center while his co pilot Taccad, died while being treated at the Bautista Hospital in Cavite City.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to PN spokesperson Commander John Percie Alcos, the Robinson R-22 trainer helicopter with tail number NHT-421 tried to make an emergency landing but crashed near the Cavite City Public Market at about 6 a.m. yesterday.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Navy chopper took off from Sangley Airport and was conducting a training flight with two officer pilots on board when the incident happened.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the bereaved loved ones.
