{"id":510,"date":"2023-12-09T16:38:01","date_gmt":"2023-12-09T08:38:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=510"},"modified":"2023-12-09T16:38:02","modified_gmt":"2023-12-09T08:38:02","slug":"2-koreans-suffocate-to-death-in-sauna-room","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2023\/12\/09\/2-koreans-suffocate-to-death-in-sauna-room\/","title":{"rendered":"2 KOREANS SUFFOCATE TO DEATH IN SAUNA ROOM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>TWO Korean nationals on Thursday were allegedly suffocated to death inside the sauna room of a beach resort in Mabini, Batangas.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Police identified the victims as Sun Tae Kim, 67, and Yun Seok Seo, 63.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>A fellow Korean, Hak Neung Kim, 59, also suffocated and was taken to a hospital.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Initial investigation showed the three Koreans were billeted as guests in a beach resort in Bgy. Mainit in Mabini town.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>At around 3 a.m. on Thursday, the three, who were reportedly drunk, went to the sauna room of the resort.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Two hours later, when the sauna attendants checked on them, the three were found unconscious and lying on the floor.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The victims were rushed to the hospital, where Kim and Seo were declared dead on arrival.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Kim is still under observation at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Authorities are conducting a follow-up investigation.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Police said the bodies of the fatalities will be subjected to a post mortem examination to determine the real cause of their deaths.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TWO Korean nationals on Thursday were allegedly suffocated to death inside the sauna room of a beach resort in Mabini, Batangas.
