PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. described himself as one lucky husband because she has First Lady Louise \u201cLiza\u201d Araneta Marcos as his wife.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The First Lady has publicly defended the President against all forms of criticisms.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cMy first reaction is \u2018what a lucky husband I am\u201d that I have a wife na very protective sa akin na kahit na may nakitang hindi magandang sinabi tungkol sa akin ay \u2018yan talagang she gets upset,\u201d President Marcos said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He was referring to the recent comments of the First Lady to the personal attacks hurled by former president Rodrigo Duterte against her husband.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The First Lady said in an interview that she disliked how Vice President Sara Duterte laughed at her father\u2019s criticisms against the Chief Executive during a rally held in Davao City.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cI guess, we cannot blame her \u2026 I think that, she, also as a wife, understands how the First Lady feels when you have to sit there and listen to these attacks being made against her husband,\u201d President Marcos added.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n President Marcos said he will meet with the Vice President to iron things out.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cMag-uusap kami tungkol diyan. \u2018Wag na masyadong dibdibin at \u2018yung hindi naman siya ang nag-sabi tungkol sa kung anu-ano. Kaya\u2019t madali naman siguro na plantsahin lahat itong naging isyu na ito,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Asked if there is a need to \u201cpatch things up\u201d with the Vice President, the Chief Executive said that he does not see the reason for that as he emphasized that everything remains all right between him and the Education Secretary.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n President Marcos assured his working relationship with Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte will not be tarnished amid personal issues between her and the First Lady.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cIt will not affect our working relationship with the Vice President, Secretary of Education,\u201d President Marcos said when asked to react on the sentiments of the First Lady towards the Vice President.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" PRESIDENT Ferdinand R.
