Jose Hidalgo Jr. instructed all unit commanders in Central Luzon to ensure that their personnel demonstrate accountability and report daily to their respective assignments. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The directive aims to eliminate corrupt practices within the police force, particularly the “lubog or 15\/30 cops,\u201d where police officers pay their superiors to avoid reporting for duty and engage in unauthorized side jobs or moonlighting activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Hidalgo said such actions not only compromise the integrity and effectiveness of law enforcement efforts but also erode public trust in the police.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Central Luzon top cop said the PNP-PRO3 has a zero-tolerance policy toward \u201clubog or 15\/30 cops.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to Hidalgo, those found involved in such practices or other unauthorized moonlighting activities are currently under investigation, and appropriate administrative charges are being prepared against them. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The firm stance underscores the commitment of the PNP headed by Gen. Rommel Marbil to uphold discipline and accountability within the police force.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Hidalgo also strongly encouraged all personnel to report directly to his office any knowledge of the \u201clubog or 15\/30 cops\u201d or other unauthorized activities that undermine the PNP. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “The cooperation of all members is crucial in maintaining the integrity and trustworthiness of the police.
