The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned the public on fake Biogesic and other over-the counter drugs.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In an advisory, the FDA said drugs with counterfeit versions aside from Biogesic (Paracetamol) are Kremil-S (Aluminum Hydroxide + Magnesium Hydroxide + Simeticone), Alaxan FR (Ibuprofen + Paracetamol), Medicol Advance (Ibuprofen), Bioflu (Phenylephrine Hydrochloride + Chlorphenamine Maleate + Paracetamol) , and Tuseran Forte (Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Phenylpropanolamine Hydrochloride + Paracetamol)<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cAll healthcare professionals and the general public are hereby warned as to the availability of these counterfeit drug products in the market which poses <\/strong>potential danger or injury to consumers,\u201d the FDA said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The FDA cautioned establishments and drug outlets not to sell counterfeit products.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n It also reminded consumers to purchase drug products only from FDA-licensed establishments.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Before buying, the FDA urged the public to check the product carefully, including the lot number, capsule or tablet, knurling, and print appearance .<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The FDA warned that anyone found selling counterfeit drug products will be penalized for violation of <\/strong>Republic Act No. 9711 or the Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009, and Republic Act No. 8203 or the Special Law on Counterfeit Drugs.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned the public on fake Biogesic and other over-the counter drugs.
