Reynante Panay on Monday announced the arrest of a man and a woman involved in the illegal sale of firearms during a buy-bust operation in Angeles City, Pampanga..<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Nabbed were alias \u201cJay\u201d and alias \u201cMay.\u201d<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Panasay said the duo were arrested by joint operatives of the CIDG Angeles CFU CIT-Angeles RIU3, PS-3 ACPO, and CMFC ACPO under the supervision of Lt. Col. Victor Morales in Bgy. Pulung Maragul, Angeles City.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The suspects were arrested while handing over two rifles to a poseur buyer.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Seized were two 5.56 Bush Master rifles, two magazine assemblies for 5.56, two black rifle bags, one cellphone, the marked and boodle money, and a Mazda car with plate no. WLR837.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThe arrest of the suspects boosts the CIDG\u2019s \u2018Oplan Paglalansag Omega,\u2019 which aims to curb the proliferation of illegal firearms in the region,\u201d Panay said.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThis is also one of the directives of CIDG director Maj. Gen. Leo Francisco.
