FASHION icon and actress <\/strong>Heart Evangelista on Wednesday took her oath as the new President of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. (SSFI).<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Her husband, Senate President Chiz Escudero, led the oathtaking held at the Senate building on Wednesday morning.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Heart replaced Audrey Tan-Zubiri following the change in Senate leadership from Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri to Escudero.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cI am honored to stand before you as the new President of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. I am grateful for the support and ready to work together to uplift our communities,\u201d Heart, in her speech, said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n She emphasized continuing the legacy of service inspired by her predecessors.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cTheir stories of service encourage me to make a difference and inspire others to improve lives around us,\u201d she said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Heart called for collective effort and support.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWith your support, I am bravely taking on these duties. It is inspiring to see what we can accomplish together. Maraming salamat po!,\u201d she said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Along\u00a0 with Heart, the following also took their oath of office: Kathryna Pimentel as vice president, Maricel Tulfo as secretary, Neil Llamanzares as assistant secretary, Rep.
