{"id":6376,"date":"2024-06-06T23:44:34","date_gmt":"2024-06-06T15:44:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=6376"},"modified":"2024-06-06T23:44:35","modified_gmt":"2024-06-06T15:44:35","slug":"no-more-drinking-in-public-spaces-in-cavite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2024\/06\/06\/no-more-drinking-in-public-spaces-in-cavite\/","title":{"rendered":"NO MORE DRINKING IN PUBLIC SPACES IN CAVITE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>DRINKING in public places is now prohibited in the province of Cavite.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Sangguniang Panlalawigan led by presiding officer Vice Governor Athena Tolentino passed Provincial Ordinance 443-2024 &nbsp;or \u201cAn Ordinance Prohibiting the Consumption of Beer, Liquor and Alcoholic Beverages in Public Places within the Province of Cavite and Imposing Penalties for Violations Thereof.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The ordinance was authored by 2nd district Board member Ramon Bautista, chairman of the Committee on Peace, Public Order and Safety.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Under the mandate, consumption of beer, liquor, and any alcoholic beverages is prohibited in public areas in Cavite such as parks, picnic areas, playgrounds, sports fields\/courts, bike paths, streets, sidewalks, and public transportation vehicles.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Whoever is caught violating the ordinance will pay P1,000 for the first offense, P2,500 for the second offense and P5,000 for the third offense or six months imprisonment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The directive aims to prevent accidents or disasters caused by drinkin<\/strong>g alcohol.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DRINKING in public places is now prohibited in the province of Cavite.
