PRESIDENT <\/strong>Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday touted the port projects in Bicol.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The projects, according to the President, will hasten transport of goods, boost trade and bolster the economy in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cBilang suporta sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng inyong rehiyon, binibilisan na rin po ang pagbabalangkas sa ilang mga proyekto dito sa inyong lugar\u2014tulad na lamang ng mga port projects natin sa Tabaco, sa Malinao, sa Tiwi, at sa Bacacay dito sa Albay,\u201d the President said in his speech at the Albay Astrodome in Legazpi City.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cSa karatig-lugar naman, sa Sorsogon ay patuloy ang pag-usad ng implementasyon ng RoRo Terminal Port Expansion project,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n President Marcos said port projects will also be made in the provinces of Catanduanes, Masbate, and Sorsogon.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cIto pong mga proyektong ito ay naglalayong mapabilis ang kalakalan at pagbiyahe ng ating mga produkto, lalo na ang pagkain at produktong pang-agrikultura,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n During his speech, the President also discussed projects aimed at developing the agricultural sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cMalapit po sa puso ko ang sektor ng agrikultura dahil naniniwala po ako na ito ang susi sa paglago ng ating bansa,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Department of Agriculture (DA), according to the President, is setting up transport networks, farm-to-market roads, and tramlines in different parts of the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cMaliban pa riyan, ang DA ay kumikilos na upang palawigin ang mga lupang sakahan at palaisdaan, isaayos ang mga irigasyon, at patabain ang mga lupang sakahan,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Among the DA projects are the use of science-based and climate-resilient technology for farming and the setting up of agro-processing facilities in Strategic Agriculture and Fisheries Development areas.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Marcos administration has also stepped up the promotion of agricultural products as well as the lending program for farmers.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cPinaiigting din natin ang promosyon ng ating mga produkto upang dumami pa ang mga merkado na mapupuntahan nito.
