taas singil sa tubig ng Manila Water Company Inc. at Maynilad Water Services Inc..<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Sinabi ni MWSS Regulatory Office chief regulator Patrick Lester Ty na ipatutupad ang dagdag singil simula Enero ng susunod na taon.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Aniya, ang average ng pagtaas ay mula P6.41 hanggang P7.87 kada cubic meter (\/cu.m.).<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe did the tariff adjustments in tranches to ensure that the public will be protected and it will not be too burdensome to do it all in one go, and to ensure that Manila Water and Maynilad will be doing their capex (capital expenditure) rollout projects and ahead of schedule actually, hopefully,\u201d ani Ty.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>\u201cPart of the reason is we need to prepare for the El Ni\u00f1o that will be happening in 2024\u2026 and we have started preparing for that, and we have directed Manila Water and Maynilad to ensure that there will be no water crisis and to mitigate all the effects of El Ni\u00f1o next year,\u201d dagdag pa nito.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Bilang bahagi ng ikalawang tranche ng rate rebasing, ang parehong concessionaires ay maaaring magtaas ng kanilang mga singil mula 2023 hanggang 2027.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Ito ay basta\u2019t natutugunan nila ang pamantayan ng MWSS tulad ng paggasta para sa mga programang nagtitiyak ng seguridad sa tubig.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Magugunitang ang unang tranche ng taas singil ay ipinatupad nitong unang bahagi ng kasalukuyang taon.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Ang east zone concessionaire na Manila Water ay binigyan ng go signal na taasan ang average basis charge ng P6.41\/cu.m. hanggang P42.26\/cu.m. sa darating na 2024 mula sa P35.85\/cu.m. ngayong taon.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Kasama sa adjustment ang P1.27\/cu.m. para sa inflation, at P5.14\/cu.m. para sa programa sa paggastos nito.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Ito ay may upward adjustment na P2.96 bawat buwan para sa mga customer na may mababang kita na lifeline, P34.12 para sa mga komukonsumo ng 10 cu.m. bawat buwan, P76.68 para sa mga gumagamit ng 20 cu.m. kada buwan, at P154.55 para sa mga kumokonsumo ng 30 cu.m. bawat buwan.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Magtataas naman ng P7.87\/cu.m ang west zone concessionaire na Maynilad hanggang sa P47.57\/cu.m. sa 2024 mula sa P39.70\/cu.m. nitong 2023.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Isinasaalang-alang nito ang P1.40\/cu.m. para sa inflation, at P6.47\/cu.m. para sa capital spending.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Ang karagdagang P4.74 ay sa bawat buwan para sa mga low-income lifeline customer, P26.61 para sa regular na lifeline customer, P100.67 para sa mga komukonsumo ng 20 cu.m. kada buwan, at P205.87 para sa mga kumokonsumo ng 30 cu.m. kada buwan.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ayon pa kay <\/strong>Ty, ang rate adjustments ay abot kaya naman at kinakailangan dahil masisiguro nito ang
