{"id":6998,"date":"2024-07-06T01:03:44","date_gmt":"2024-07-05T17:03:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=6998"},"modified":"2024-07-06T01:03:45","modified_gmt":"2024-07-05T17:03:45","slug":"42-former-barangay-chairmen-369-ex-kagawads-back-lazatins-congressional-bid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2024\/07\/06\/42-former-barangay-chairmen-369-ex-kagawads-back-lazatins-congressional-bid\/","title":{"rendered":"42 FORMER BARANGAY CHAIRMEN, 369 EX-KAGAWADS BACK LAZATIN\u2019S CONGRESSIONAL BID"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>BY KEVIN GALANG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>FORTY-TWO former village chiefs and 369 ex-barangay kagawads vowed to support the plan of Angeles City Mayor Carmelo \u201cPogi\u201d Lazatin Jr. to run for congressman of Pampanga.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The former barangay officials expressed their support during a lunch time gathering held on July 4 at Century Hotel in Angeles City, where Lazatin announced his candidacy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lazatin reiterated the core tenet of his legislative agenda &#8220;no one will be left behind\u2019&nbsp; and assured the former barangay officials that he will reach all sectors of society with his service.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cIto po ang bibitawan kong pangako &#8212; sa aking paninilbihan, \u2018no one will be left behind.\u2019 Lahat ng sektor ng lipunan sa buong distrito ay aabutin ng ating serbisyo at paninilbihan,\u201d Lazatin said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>On June 28, Lazatin first declared his candidacy in front of some 1,800 guests at the Magalang Plaza, 856 of which are incumbent barangay captains and barangay councilors of the first district of Pampanga.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lazatin\u2019s June 28 declaration of candidacy was the biggest political event in the history of the first district of Pampanga in terms of logistics and preparation, which was attended by all the political leaders of the first district, including Gov. Dennis \u201cDelta\u201d Pineda, District Rep. Carmelo \u201cJon\u201d Lazatin II, Vice Mayor Ma.
