{"id":7193,"date":"2024-07-13T00:09:40","date_gmt":"2024-07-12T16:09:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=7193"},"modified":"2024-07-16T00:10:39","modified_gmt":"2024-07-15T16:10:39","slug":"bi-intercepts-2-fake-pinays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2024\/07\/13\/bi-intercepts-2-fake-pinays\/","title":{"rendered":"BI INTERCEPTS 2 \u2018FAKE\u2019 PINAYS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>BUREAU of Immigration (BI) officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 intercepted two women suspected of being fake Filipinos last July 10.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco shared that the two women, identified only as \u201cDianne\u201d and \u201cMyla\u201d attempted to depart on board a Cathay Pacific flight to Beijing when they were stopped by officers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Officers doubted their identity when they noticed that the two women were unable to speak in any Filipino language.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passenger \u201cDiann,\u201d 61-years-old, presented a valid Philippine passport and a birth certificate. Immigration officers noted that her birth was registered only in 2002 when she was already 39 years old.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The woman gave highly inconsistent statements about her identity, and declared that she could not remember the name of the school she attended in the Philippines.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Passenger \u201cMyla\u201d attempted to pass through a separate immigration counter but was also referred for further assessment after inconsistencies were found by the officers.
