BY KEVIN GALANG<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n MAYOR Crisostomo Garbo vowed to strengthen education system in Mabalacat City, Pampanga as he launched a program that will reach out to out-of-school youth and drop out students.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He issued the promise as he expressed elation over President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.\u2019s acknowledgement of the Mabalacat City College (MCC) during his recent State of the Nation Address (SONA). <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The President praised MCC for bagging the prestigious award for Technological or Digital Innovation of the Year by the Times Higher Education \u201cin the face of top global competition.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cI am delighted and honored by President Bongbong Marcos\u2019s recognition of our city\u2019s achievements during his recent SONA and for highlighting Mabalacat\u2019s success on a national platform,\u201d Garbo said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThis only shows the sincerity and hard work we put to the city\u2019s local educational institution,\u201d he added. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Garbo vowed to further strengthen local education system in the city.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Garbo, through the MCC, recently formalized a partnership with the Mabalacat City Youth Development Office (CYDO) to launch the Return to Education Assistance Program (REAP). <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n REAP aims to reach out to out-of-school youth and drop-out students within the community and offer them support and assistance to pursue their tertiary education. <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cAng nais kong mangyari, ang bawat Mabalaque\u00f1o sa pamilya ay may hawak na diploma.
