{"id":761,"date":"2023-09-18T00:27:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-17T16:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=761"},"modified":"2023-12-16T00:33:16","modified_gmt":"2023-12-15T16:33:16","slug":"deped-enrollees-for-sy-2023-2024-now-28m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2023\/09\/18\/deped-enrollees-for-sy-2023-2024-now-28m\/","title":{"rendered":"DEPED: ENROLLEES FOR SY 2023-2024 NOW 28M"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>BY BIBOY DE LEON<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>THE total number of students enrolled for the 2023-2024 school year is almost P28 million.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>This is based on the latest data from the Learner Information System (LIS) for SY 2023-2024 of the Department of Education (DepEd).<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>As of todate, the LIS has recorded 28,035,042 total number of students who registered for the new school year.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>This number includes students enrolled in public and private schools, as well as in state universities and colleges (SUCs) and local universities and colleges (LUCs).<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>According to DepEd, of the number, the most registered in Region IV-A (Calabarzon) which reached 3,913,016.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>It is followed by Region III (Central Luzon) with 2,956,658 and National Capital Region (NCR) with 2,779,389.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Alternative Learning System (ALS) has recorded 330,578 enrollees.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The DepEd said although the class opened last August 29, they will continue to accept late enrollees until the end of September.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>DepEd is confident that they will reach the target of more than 28 million enrollees by the said period.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>According to DepEd, the total number of enrollees for SY 2023-2024 will only be announced once the ongoing encoding period closes on October 30.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BY BIBOY DE LEON THE total number of students enrolled for the 2023-2024 school year is almost P28 million.
