THE Department of Budget Management (DBM) announded that th first tranche of salary increase for qualified government workers would likely be released this month.<\/strong><\/p>\n

DBM Secretary Amenah Pangamdaman said the actual schedule for the release would depend on the speed of various government agencies to do the computation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cIto na, baka itong month na ito mabigay ang retroactive nila depende sa agency. Kailangan mabilis po mag-compute ang ating mga ahensya,\u201d Pangandaman said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pangandaman made the remarks when asked in a media interview about the timeline of the release of the salary increase for government employees, which is retroactive starting January this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She added that mid-year bonus is also included in the release.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cNapirmahan na po kaninang umaga (Monday morning) \u2018yung National Budget Circular at saka Local Budget Circular. So, we expect that ang publication nito ay by tomorrow,\u201d Pangandaman said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cBut in the meantime, napadala na rin po natin \u2018yung guidelines sa ating national government agencies para masimulan na po nila ang computation ng adjustments,\u201d she added.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

She said it is now up to the departments, government agencies and other offices to fast track the release of adjustments.<\/strong><\/p>\n
