{"id":7996,"date":"2024-08-18T00:36:22","date_gmt":"2024-08-17T16:36:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=7996"},"modified":"2024-08-22T00:38:46","modified_gmt":"2024-08-21T16:38:46","slug":"3-chinese-fugitives-arrested-in-paranaque","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2024\/08\/18\/3-chinese-fugitives-arrested-in-paranaque\/","title":{"rendered":"3 CHINESE FUGITIVES ARRESTED IN PARA\u00d1AQUE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) said its agents arrested three Chinese nationals who are wanted for a string of criminal cases in the Philippines and in \u00a0China.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nabbed were Jun Chen, 28; Hongru Zhang, 26; and Hao Zhen, 27.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said the aliens were arrested on August 13 in Bgy. Tambo, Para\u00f1aque City by operatives from the BI\u2019s Fugitive Search Unit (FSU).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tansingco said the arresting team was armed with a mission order which he issued at the request of the Chinese government which informed the BI about the fugitives\u2019 presence in the Philippines.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The BI chief stressed that the trio cannot not be deported yet as they have &nbsp;to face criminal charges for robbery, grave coercion, illegal detention, gun possession, and illegal drugs trading that police have filed against them before the Para\u00f1aque City Prosecutor\u2019s Office.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThey can only be deported after the criminal cases against them are resolved and, if convicted, they will have to first serve their sentence in jail,\u201d Tansingco explained.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The criminal cases were filed after police rescued a Vietnamese national who was kidnapped and illegally detained by the said Chinese nationals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>According to BI-FSU acting chief Rendel Ryan Sy, two of the three Chinese nationals are subjects of arrest warrants issued by the public security bureau in Jinjiang, China while the other one is an an overstaying alien.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sy said all three are undocumented aliens as their passports were already canceled by the Chinese government.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The trio were in the temporary custody of the Para\u00f1aque police pending resolution of their criminal cases.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) said its agents arrested three Chinese nationals who are wanted for a string of criminal cases in the Philippines and<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":7997,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/7996"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=7996"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/7996\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":7998,"href":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/7996\/revisions\/7998"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/7997"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=7996"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=7996"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=7996"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
