Marcos Jr. has issued proclamations declaring special non-working days in seven towns in the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marcos signed proclamations 680, 681, 682, 683, 684, 685, and 686 on Wednesday and made public on Friday declaring the holidays.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Under Proclamation 680, Marcos declared a special non-working day in Dingras, Ilocos Norte on Sept. 20, 2024, in honor of Josefa Llanes-Escoda, a World War II heroine and the founder of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Llanes-Escoda was born in Dingras on Sept. 20, 1898.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marcos said it is fitting and proper for the people of Dingras municipality to \u201cbe given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The President also issued Proclamation 681, declaring Sept. 21, 2024 as a special non-working day in San Mateo, Rizal to give its residents the full opportunity to participate in and enjoy the celebration of the town&#8217;s 452nd founding anniversary.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>A similar declaration was made for Mountain Province through Proclamation 682, making Oct. 4, 2024 a special non-working day to mark the celebration of the Provincial Indigenous People\u2019s Day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Proclamation 683 declared a special non-working day on Oct. 7, 2024 in Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur, in celebration of the 33rd Araw ng Guipos.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marcos also declared Oct. 23, 2024 a special non-working day in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur through the issuance of Proclamation 684 to celebrate the Aldaw Ti Wayawaya-lli A Narvacan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Proclamation 685 was also issued for Pili, Camarines Sur, as it marks the celebration of the Cimarrones Festival on Oct. 24, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Oct. 25, 2024 was declared a special non-working day in Lemery, Batangas, through Proclamation 686, as the town will mark its founding anniversary.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>PNA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Xxxx<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Xxxx<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>AMBUSH.<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;The vehicle of Argao town police chief Maj. Jampang, Argao.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The attack resulted in a shootout between the law enforcers and at least 10 armed men, including Gevana.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The shootout lasted for an hour.
