A SELF-TAGGED member of Apollo Quiboloy\u2019s alleged private army \u201cAngels of Death\u201d is now under the custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP).<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo on Friday said the person is with the Police Regional Office 11 (Davao).<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fajardo said the former member of the \u201cAngels of Death\u201d confirmed the group\u2019s existence that rendered threats and harassment against the victis of the detained Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Again these are allegations and we would let the court decide as to whether these claims have a basis. But yes, there is this individual who revealed information that would somehow corroborate the testimonies given by the victims and this person mentioned some specific cases, which we cannot divulge for now,” Fajardo said in a press briefing at Camp Crame.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n She said the PNP is thoroughly verifying whether this individual is indeed a member of the “Angels of Death.”<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fajardo said that based on initial verification from the PNP Firearms and Explosives Office, some alleged members of the “Angels of Death” have registered firearms under their names.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The \u201cAngels of Death\u201d were mentioned by Quiboloy’s alleged rape victims who came forward to the police.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to the PNP, the victims said they were warned that if they tell anyone about their sexual encounters with Quiboloy, they will be hunted by the “Angels of Death.”<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Quiboloy is currently detained in the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Arrest warrants were issued against the KOJC leader and several others for alleged violation of the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act as well as qualified human trafficking.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Quiboloy and his other co-accused pleaded not guilty to the cases.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A SELF-TAGGED member of Apollo Quiboloy’s alleged private army “Angels of Death” is now under the custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
