{"id":8759,"date":"2024-09-23T02:03:30","date_gmt":"2024-09-22T18:03:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/?p=8759"},"modified":"2024-09-23T02:03:30","modified_gmt":"2024-09-22T18:03:30","slug":"ipophl-receives-application-for-made-in-clark-philippines-mark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journaldailynewsonline.com.ph\/index.php\/2024\/09\/23\/ipophl-receives-application-for-made-in-clark-philippines-mark\/","title":{"rendered":"IPOPHL RECEIVES APPLICATION FOR \u2018MADE IN CLARK PHILIPPINES\u2019 MARK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>BY KEVIN GALANG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) received the application for \u201cMade in Clark Philippines\u201d mark submitted by Clark Development Corporation (CDC).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>According to CDC head, attorney Agnes VST Devanadera, she expects the official approval of its application for a local certification mark from IPOPHL.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>At the recent Business Interdependence Conference (BIC), &nbsp;Devanadera handed over the application for the \u201cMade in Clark\u201d trademark to attorney Ann Claire Cabochan, deputy director general of IPOPHL.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The certification mark will help identify products and services that meet specific quality standards.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Members of a group use a certification mark under specific guidelines to identify products or services with shared qualities or origins.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Undersecretary for Strategic Partnerships and Engagements Joee Guilas, representing the Office of the Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs, emphasized that the certification mark will empower consumers to identify high-quality products while safeguarding them against misrepresentation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cFor Clark, adopting this certification mark can enhance our local products&#8217; reputation and marketability.
