A<\/strong>CT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo on Sunday filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for senator in the upcoming 2025 national and local elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to Tulfo, he will run under the administration party coalition<\/strong> Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He said if given a seat in the Senate, he would focus on the welfare of the middle class.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s time that we also look at sa mga kababayan natin na hindi masyadong napapansin, \u2018yung nasa middle class. Siguro yung sinisigaw nila na higher wages, more benefits, and I would also like to introduce, if there is a chance, \u2018yung retirement benefits \u2018yung mga nagtatrabaho sa private sector,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Tulfo thanked President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for inviting him to join the administration’s 12-man senatorial slate.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The former broadcaster and reporter was appointed secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ben Tulfo, Erwin\u2019s brother, also filed his COC for senator.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Their other brother is incumbent Sen. Raffy Tulfo.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Tulfos are known for being pro-poor.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Last Friday, Rep.
