FORMER <\/strong>Ilocos Sur governor Luis “Chavit” Singson on Monday filed his certificate of candidacy (CoC) for senator.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He is running as an independent candidate.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Singson, who last served as the mayor of Narvacan, Ilocos Sur from 2019 to 2022, filed his certificate of candidacy at the Manila Hotel Garden City.<\/strong> <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He said he will use his own money to finance the production of thousands of electric jeepneys using South Korean technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Qualified drivers will not be required to pay down payment, no collateral, and there will be no interest.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Singson eoxplained that the Bangko ng Masa will cater to Filipinos who have no bank accounts, particularly overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Singson ran for senator under Team Unity in 2007 but lost.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" FORMER Ilocos Sur governor Luis “Chavit” Singson on Monday filed his certificate of candidacy (CoC) for senator.
