Gen. Redrico Maranan, the Nueva Ecija police identified the fatality as PSSg Jhon Espinoza.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Espinoza succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>The cop was shot by the armed suspects who broke into the STM Supermarket in Bgy. Poblacion I, Penaranda, Nueva Ecija.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Investigation showed that members of the Penaranda police responded to a reported break-in in the supermarket but they were met with &nbsp;a volley of gunfire from the suspects.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>During the exchange of gunshots, Espinoza was hit in the head.
