THE country\u2019s transport sector is prepared for the expected influx of passengers during the observance of All Saints\u2019 Day and All Souls\u2019 Day this week.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n At a press briefing in Malaca\u00f1ang on Monday, Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista said the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and its attached agencies made all necessary preparations in anticipation of the increased volume of travelers at airports, seaports, and bus terminals.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cAng Department of Transportation together with the other attached agencies \u2013 ang CAAP (Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines), and PPA (Philippine Ports Authority), MIAA (Manila International Airport Authority), and Cebu International Airport \u2013 we are getting ready for the Undas Biyahe,\u201d Bautista told reporters.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cEvery year we have this Oplan Biyaheng Ayos para sa ating mga mananakay. So, ready tayo. Katulong din natin diyan ang Philippine Coast Guard,\u201d he added.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to Bautista, \u201cmillions\u201d of passengers are expected to travel to various provinces this week.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cActually, millions \u2018yung tinitingnan natin. Every year naman millions \u2018yung estimate natin. Siguro \u2018yun lang bus passengers lang natin aabutin \u2018yan mga 1 to 1.5 million passengers.
