PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has directed all government agencies to remain on high alert in response to typhoon Marce.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In a statement, President Marcos emphasized the need to ensure relevant information reaches communities promptly and on-the-ground situations are reported accurately.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cSa mga ahensya ng pamahalaan, you all know the drill. I am placing you all in high alert,\u201d the President said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cSimulan natin sa pagkasa ng isang maayos na sistema ng komunikasyon na mabilis maghahatid ng abiso at impormasyon sa mga mamamayan,\u201d he added.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The President also instructed authorities to monitor water levels in waterways and reservoirs.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Rescue units at all levels of government, including those that can reinforce rescue and relief operations, were directed to prepare their equipment and vehicles.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cIkasa na rin ang lahat ng rescue equipment, sa lahat ng antas ng pamahalaan, sa lahat ng ahensya na maaaring mag-ambag ng mga kagamitan, lalo na mga sasakyan,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The President also reminded authorities to pre-position relief goods in safe warehouses, where they can be accessed quickly and delivered promptly to areas to be affected.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n President Marcos ordered the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to standby for road-clearing operations.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cSa DPWH at DOTr, naka-standby kayo para sa road clearing operations. Gamitin n\u2019yo hindi lang ang inyong mga makinarya, mga truck.
