Actress-comedian Pokwang on Saturday lost thousands of money due to unauthorized transactions on Gcash.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Pokwang burst into tears upon learning that the P85,000 on her mobile wallet Gcash was gone.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Instagram, the actress \u2013comedian shared screenshots showing that her funds were claimed by around 30 unregistered cellphone numbers.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Naghahanap-buhay po ako ng marangal nagbibigay po ako ng hanap-buhay sa mga single mom, tapos isang umaga pagka gising mo simot ang laman ng GCASH accnt???” Pokwang wrote.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cIbat-ibang number na hindi naka rehistro halos nasa 30 numero na hindi naka rehistro!!! Ano nangyare sa registered sim policy ngayon?\u201d she further said.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Nakakaiyak, binangon ko mag isa ang negosyong pinabayaan ng taong inasahan ko pinagkatiwalaan ko, pati ba naman dito naisahan parin ako?” she added.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Pokwang was just one of the people whose funds were also stolen from their accounts in the digital payment app.<\/p>\n The “send to many” feature, which can send money to as many as 10 people, was immediately disabled by Gcash after receiving the complaints.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Cybersecurity organization Deep Web Konek said the “send to many” glitch was first observed around 2 a.m. on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n GCash said some users were affected by a “system reconciliation process” and that all accounts were safe.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “A few GCash users were affected due to errors in an ongoing system reconciliation process. This incident was isolated to a few users, and we assure our customers that their accounts are safe.,\u201d according to Gcash.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWe have identified and reached out to affected accounts.
