TO further curb criminality and maintain peace and order in the community, authorities inaugurated barangay police outposts in the three main exits of Walking Street in Bgy. Balibago, Angeles City.
Angeles City Station 4 commander Maj. Marlon Ventus, Angeles City Korean Community Association president Choi Jong Pil, Bgy. Balibago chairman Joseph Ponce, and Hammer Disco owner Mr. Kim, led the opening of the outposts.
The putting up of three outposts in the village were financed by Korean businessmen and stakeholders in the city.
The Barangay Public Assistance Teams (BPATS) under Ponce will supervise the peace and security in the vicinity of Walking Street while the Angeles City Tourist Auxiliary (ACT) will focus on maintaining order inside the village.
Authorities said the establishment of barangay police outposts in Bgy. Balibago aims to create a peaceful environment for residents, businessmen and tourists while promoting the village as a tourist center.
The setting up of outposts in the village showed the desire of the police, the Korean businessmen, village officials and residents to help create an environment free from criminals and lawless elements.
