SIXTEEN people attending a despedida party on Sunday were brought to the hospital due to suspected poisoning in Bgy. East Tapinac, Olongapo City.
Olongapo City police director Col.Charlie D Umayam reported to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan that a concerned citizen informed the police about the incident.
Umayam said the 16 victims were among the guests of Roan Geluz at her despedida celebration in her house in Bgy. East Tapinac.
It was learned that the food was prepared by Rommel Rivera, 45, of Bgy. Roosevelt, Dinalupihan, Bataan.
After eating, the victims felt dizzy and started vomiting. They were rushed to James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital in Olongapo City for medical treatment.
