A CARWASH boy on Tuesday drowned in a beach resort in Bataan.
The Bataan police reported to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan that the victim was identified as Mayo Velasco, 34, of Bgy. 171, Caloocan City.
The victim and his companions were swimming at Double Gem Beach Resort located at Sitio Nagpajo, Bgy. Nagbalayong, Morong, Bataan, when Velasco was swept away by huge waves and strong water current.
Velasco’s companions immediately sought help from the lifeguard nearby, who exerted efforts to locate and rescue the victim.
The victim was rushed to Morong Rural Health Unit, where he was declared dead on arrival.
