CALAMBA Medical Center (CMC) in Laguna on Saturday launched its first-ever event for children with special needs.
More than 50 young participants from different areas in the province attended the celebration.
The event, titled “Little Brave Warriors,” was organized to celebrate and support the kids with special needs and their families.
It featured games, cash prizes, grocery giveaways for media noche, and donations from CMC employees.
CMC Marketing and Business Development head Lirio Lomarda expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the children and their families.
“Mula po sa pamunuan ng Calamba Medical Center, isa pong karangalan ang buksan ang aming pintuan sa mga espesyal na bata, lalo na sa mga nangangailangan ng espesyal na atensyon at pag-aaruga,” she said.
She also praised the mothers, calling them heroes for their unwavering dedication to their children.
“Let’s give an applause to all mothers who bravely attend to the needs of their children despite the challenges,” Lomarda added.
Lomanda announced CMC’s commitment to support similar events in the future and revealed plans to establish a dedicated clinic for children with special needs. The clinic will provide free treatments, with costs covered by PhilHealth.
“Sobrang napaka-iksi ng preparasyon, pero everything fell into place. Nagsimula lang kami ni Ms. Cyrill Quilo, and now, CMC management has fully supported this event,” Lomarda shared.
Quilo, publisher of The InsiderNewsPh, thanked CMC and its staff members, as well as the individuals who generously contributed to the success of the “Little Brave Warriors” event.
