A DRIVER of a Korean businessman on New Year’s Eve was gunned down at the parking lot of a condominium in Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.
Based on a report to Pampanga police director Col. Jay Dimaandal, Mabalacat police commander Lt. Col. Efren David identified the victim as Fedelito Galsim, a 41-year-old resident of Alcala, Pangasinan.
David said the victim was the driver of Hong Jinkwan, a 43-year-old Korean businessman residing at The Sharp Clarkhills, Clark Freeport Zone.
Galsim was shot dead at the parking lot of Sharp Clarkhills Condominium.
Suspect Joel Baybayon, 45, a protection agent and member of Eagles residing in Balibago, Angeles City, fled after the killing.
Investigation showed security guard Ecren Maquinana, 35, of Mabalacat City and parking marshal Michael Regalado, 39, of Angeles City heard successive gunshots from the parking area.
The two went to the place to check when they saw the victim with gunshot wounds lying face down near a motorcycle.
The duo immediately sought help from the CDC Command Center personnel, who informed the Mabalacat City police.
In a follow-up investigation, police arrested the victim’s employer Jinkwan.
Jinkwan and Baybayon were charged with murder, with no bail recommended.
