OVER P10 million worth of shabu declared as vinyl window from California, USA on Monday was seized by the authorities at the UPS Cargo Area, Clark Freeport Zone in Clarkfield, Pampanga.
The parcel, declared as “black vinyl window made out of PVC,” contains a PVC window frame, with each side frame of its aluminum bar containing shabu, with a combined weight of at least 1,498 grams valued at P10,186,400.
According to Clark Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (CRK-IADITG), the parcel was shipped by a certain Richard King of Roger Windows and Door Manufacturing, with address at 10464 Alondra Blvd., Bellflower, California, USA.
The package was consigned to James Padilla Lopez, of Blk-4 Lot-24, Casimiro Westville Homes, Phase 4, Ligas 2, Bacoor, Cavite.
Operatives from the General Aviation Police Station, Aviation Security Unit 3 (AVSEU3) led by Capt. Regalado Flaris Jr., the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Clark, Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), and other members of the CRK-IADITG witnessed the examination and initial inventory of the parcel containing suspected illegal drugs.

The inventory was conducted by the Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Port of Clark, Clark Freeport Zone, Clarkfield, Pampanga.
An investigation showed upon passing through the x-ray machine, Customs examiner Shielahmee P. Vargas discovered that the parcel contained suspected illegal drugs and immediately informed the CRK-IADITG.
The parcel was inspected by PDEA AKI Ronaldo Duca using a K9 anti-narcotics detection dog, which indicated the presence of illegal drugs.
Authorities took samples of the illegal drugs and upon examination yielded positive result for methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.
The rest of the samples were brought to the PDEA laboratory for confirmatory examination.
The seized package was resealed and placed in the custody of the BOC.
