A COLLISION between a train and a jeep on a highway in Australia left six people dead on Friday, September 29.
The accident occurred on Stuart Highway near Pine Creek some 140 miles south of Darwin.
Among the fatalities was a child who was in the jeep.
The names of the fatalities were being verified.
The latest casualties bring the number of people killed on Northern Territory roads to 19 this year.
