POLICE are hunting down the suspects in the killing of a woman inside a hotel in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
The victim, around 30-35 years old and 5’ feet in height, was wearing a black shirt and black short pants.
An initial investigation by the Manila Police District (MPD), showed that the victim’s body was found lying on bed, with her hands tied at Rm. 2A in Ligaya Lodge in Sta. Mesa St., Bgy. 587, Sta. Mesa, Manila at 7 a.m. on October 24.
The supervisor and roomboy of the hotel told responding lawmen that the victim checked in with an unknown woman and man on Wednesday night. Around 6:30 a.m. the next day, the companions of the victim left the hotel.
A CCTV in the barangay captured the female suspect fleeing. She was wearing a facemask, dark glasses and carrying a helmet.
The female suspect walked towards the corner of Reposo and Peralta Streets also in Sta. Mesa then quickly boarded a passenger jeepney heading to Mandaluyong area.
The male companion was not captured on CCTV because the duo left the hotel separately and the man passed through a different street.
Meanwhile, barangay officials condemned the lack of security in the hotel to ensure the safety of its customers.
Authorities are considering the woman and the man who were with the victim as the main suspects in the crime.
