CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Focus crimes in Central Luzon dropped by 14.95 percent – from 214 to 182 – based on a comparison between February 1–23, 2026 and February 24–March 18, 2026, the Police. Regional Office 3 (PRO3) on Friday reported.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez attributed the decline to intensified police visibility, more aggressive operations, and stronger coordination with the community and other stakeholders.
“This positive result reflects our firm commitment to proactive law enforcement and strong community partnership. We will continue to intensify our efforts to ensure the safety of every citizen across Central Luzon,” Mendez said.
He added that significant reductions were observed in various crime categories such as murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, robbery, theft, and carnapping—indicating more effective implementation of operations in the region.
However, PRO3 continues to closely monitor emerging crime trends and implement focused interventions in areas that require immediate action.
Mendez said these efforts are anchored on the PNP Focused Agenda of PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., which emphasizes strengthening intelligence-driven operations, increasing police presence, and enhancing community engagement.
He added that guided by the principle “Pulis Central Luzon: Delivering Fast, Honest, and Felt Service,” PRO3 remains committed to providing prompt, reliable, and effective police service for the safety and security of the public.
