MARILAO, Bulacan — A joint police operation led by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) resulted in the arrest of a most wanted person in the country in an operation in Bgy. Abangan Sur, this town.
CIDG Regional Field Unit 3 chief Col. Grant Gollod identified the suspect as alias “Ali,” 22.

According to Gollod, the operation took place at Sitio Dulo-Kanan, where the suspects were apprehended by a team composed of the CIDG Bulacan Provincial Field Unit as lead office, along with the other police and support units.
The arrest was carried out based on multiple warrants issued by courts in Surigao del Norte for murder charges, including frustrated murder ,and illegal discharge of firearms.
Authorities also recovered several weapons and explosives found inside the suspects’ residence, including two cal. .45 pistols—one Armscor and one Colt MK IV Series 80—loaded magazines, multiple rounds of live ammunition, and a hand grenade.
Gollod said the suspects failed to present any legal permits for the possession of firearms and explosives, prompting additional charges for violations of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and Republic Act 9516 or the illegal possession of explosives.
The operation stemmed from prior intelligence monitoring and validation efforts, emphasizing the continued campaign against “high-value targets” and illegal firearms.
