CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A power cooperative office in Mabalacat City, Pampanga on Tuesday was hit by robbers.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, the Pampanga police said robbed was the PELCO office located in Madapdap Resettlement, Mabalacat City.
Initial investigation showed security guard Michael Bautista Lacandola, 54, was on duty inside the establishment when the suspects, posing as customers, entered the premises.
One of the suspects, armed with a cal. .45 pistol, suddenly threatened the guard and forced him toward the teller’s office.
The suspects then dragged Lacandola to the area where teller Girlie David Masangkay, 44, was working and where the office’s safety vault was located.
The robbers ordered the teller to open the vault and the suspects then took the office’s undetermined cash collection for the day before fleeing on a black motorcycle.
Police promptly issued a flash alarm for the possible interception of the suspects while Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) were deployed to process the crime scene and gather evidence.
