CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police on Wednesday arrested a 42-year-old man in a gun buy-bust operation in Floridablanca, Pampanga.
Pampanga police director Col. Jay C. Dimaandal reported to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. that the victim was identified as alias “Elias.”
The suspect was arrested by joint operatives of the Pampanga Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Regional Intelligence Unit 3 (RIU3), 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), and the Floridablanca Municipal Police Station (MPS) while selling illegal firearms in Bgy. Bodega, Floridablanca.
Confiscated from the suspect were one cal. .38 revolver, one shotgun, one improvised cal. .22 long firearm, one fatigue green holster, one white sack ammunition for the shotgun, a cal. .38 caliber, and the marked and boodle money.
Alias “Elias” will be charged with violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition. Regulation Act.
Hidalgo commended the joint efforts of the law enforcement units for the arrest of the suspect.
“This operation underscores our commitment to eradicating illegal firearms in the region. The successful apprehension of the suspect and seizure of these dangerous weapons is a testament to the dedication and coordination of our police force. We will continue to pursue those who threaten the safety and security of our communities,” Hidalgo said.
